Audit Senior

Parms + Company LLC is seeking an experienced Audit Senior or In-Charge Auditor to join our growing audit practice. Our firm serves a diverse client base that includes nonprofit organizations, employee benefit plans, governmental entities, and privately owned businesses.

This role offers the opportunity to lead engagements, mentor staff, work directly with clients, and continue developing your technical and leadership skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
  • Perform risk assessment and audit testing procedures
  • Communicate directly with clients and engagement leadership
  • Supervise, train, and mentor less experienced staff
  • Assist in maintaining engagement budgets and timelines
  • Contribute ideas that improve audit quality and efficiency
  • Prepare and review audit workpapers and financial statements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification
  • 2 to 5 years of recent public accounting audit experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodology
  • Experience with nonprofit, governmental, or employee benefit plan audits is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service

Staff Accountant

We are currently interviewing for Staff, In-Charge, and Senior Auditor positions. 

Qualified candidates for the Staff Auditor position must meet the following requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university with a good academic record.
  • Some recent accounting and auditing experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to function as part of a team yet work independently, handle multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism, and have critical thinking abilities
  • Other key skills include: strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer service focus 

In addition to the above requirements, qualified In-Charge and Senior Auditor candidates must meet the following additional requirements: 

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant, or are a CPA candidate including passing parts of the CPA exam.
  • Must have 2 to 5 years of recent accounting and auditing experience
  • Knowledge of advanced accounting and auditing principles and a working knowledge of GAAP/GAAS
  • Ability to function as part of a team yet work independently, handle multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism, and have an attention to detail
  • Demonstrated In-Charge experience
